Description
An old style bronze ink pot used by old accountants called munshis. This is an old piece acquired from a Munshi. Munshis used to be account keepers of landlords and businessmen of India in the days of the yore. They used to write with Kalam (a thin bamboo stick pointed like a pencil at one end), occasionally dipping it in a handy ink pot to wet it’s tip
This bronze piece is an example of such an ink pot. A beautiful, solid piece to adorn your table or book shelf.
