Description
Old brass figurine of Vishnu as Srinivasa. This is a fine example of South Indian work in brass. This Vishnu figurine in brass is quite a collector’s item.
The piece is pretty old and has been in our possession since atleast 30 years. It was already a very old piece when bought three decades back. Though it is a small statue, it retains all important details.
Crafted in rustic Karnatic style, this is a statue of Lord Vishnu as Srinivasa as evident from his two lower hands, one of which is in Varada (boon giving) pose and the other rests on his thigh. The upper two hands hold Shankha (conch) and Chakra (disc).
