Description
Buddhist Kalachakra Mandala thangka hand painted by Tibetan monk. Mandala is a spiritual circle for Tantric meditation. It is a great visual aid for concentration and introversive meditation leading to the attainment of insights and to activation of forces culminating in “Siddhi” or supernatural forces. A Mandala painting represents this process graphically.
It therefore becomes a Yantra (instrument). There are many types and varieties of Mandalas depending on the nature of the central deity. Read more about Kalachakra Mandala.
