This idol is an exact replica of a South Indian antique masterpiece in copper.
Adisesha, whose idol this is, is a devotee servant of Lord Vishnu. He is primarily seen as massive serpent shading Lord Vishnu with his hoods, while he reclines in his soft coils.
In this statue Sesha is seen with five hoods, sitting coiled. His divine form is also seen as four-armed. He bears Shankha and Chakra, the attributes of Vishnu, in his upper two hands. His lower hands are joined in humble reverence to his lord, Vishnu.
This is a wonderful work of art to own.
