Description
Vaasuki is the king of snakes as per Hindu Puranas. This highly revered five hooded serpent adorns the neck of the great Shiva as his ornament. He is frequently seen over Shiva Lingams throughout India, his five hoods spread out protectively.
Vaasuki also served as a churning rope during Saagara Manthan, an important event described in the Puranas. This is a modest brass piece valued for it’s antiquity. It is over 40 years old as in 2021.
