Original Shrinathji Pichwai from Nathdwara. A beautiful Pichhwai painting depicting Lord Krishna as Shree Nathji. His left hand is upraised in the gesture of lifting Govardhana Hill, and his right is behind his back. Krishna is worshipped in this form in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The walls of his temple are adorned with murals in this style or they are draped with cloth painted with scenes from Krishna’s life, his Raas Lila in particular.
The style of these paintings is called Pichhwai. These are created with natural or vegetable colours. Real gold and silver foils are used for depicting jewellery etc. This is an original Pichhwai painting from an artist in Nathdwara.
