Description
Tibetan Buddhist Thangka painting of deity Manjushri. Manjushri is identified as a Bodhisattva from Mahayana sect of Buddhism. In Tibetan Buddhism this deity manifests variously in different forms. For example Yamantaka (slayer of Yama or Death) is a wrathful Tibetan Buddhist deity and one of Manjushri’s manifestations.
Originally he is an enlightened Bodhisattva associated with insight, bearing a flaming sword that destroys ignorance as seen in this beautiful Thangka painting.
