Small wall-art woodcarving of devi Saraswati. A beautiful wood panel carving Goddess Saraswati. This wooden wall art is hand carved in walnut wood. The wood carving is styled in traditional South Indian style of Tamil Nadu.
Saraswati is consort of Brahma and the presiding deity of Speech and Knowledge. She is seen four-armed, resting on a lotus pedestal. She holds japamala (rosary) and Veda (knowledge) in her two upper hands. She bears a veena (lute) in her lower hands from which emerged the seven notes of music.
This wood carving is currently raw but can be polished or coloured as specified by the buyer. It is both an ideal gift and a decorative item. It can be hung on walls or placed in and around furniture items such as bookracks or shelves of showcases.
