Description
An old Tibetan Buddhist ‘singing bowl’ of monks. This plain, neat bowl comprises of an unknown mix of metals. A typical begging bowl of buddhist monks. It has a unique quality that it can reverberate to pitch that can build up to an amazingly high level resembling the sound of a Buddhist monastery gong.
You just need to place it on your palm so it touches it minimally. Then take the accompanying stick and keep moving it around the edge of the bowl making sure that the surface of the stick is in touch with the outer edge of the bowl all the time you will hear the bowl reverberating. As you keep moving the stick in the above fashion the reverberations will build up.
They will keep building up so long as you keep moving the stick around. Eventually you will not be able to move the stick as the vibrating edge will not allow the stick to remain in it’s contact. The reverberations can go very high depending on how well you move the stick around the bowl edge.
