Antique Bronze Garuda Statue

An old Bronze statue of Grauda, the mount of Vishnu. Here Garuda is shown kneeling with his two hands raised to receive Vishnu's feet once he sits on his shoulders. His wings are upraised indicating that he is ready when Vishnu is. <br> <br>He is shown bearing the emblems of Vishnu - Shankha (conch) and Chakra (discus) on his shoulders. A snake, his natural food, is shown slithering on his body. The bronze rests on a square pedestal.
