Bronze Idol of Ganesha as Ucchishta Ganapati Murti
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">This idol of Ganesha is made as per the
description in <i>Kriyakramadyoti</i>.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><br></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Ucchishta Ganapati is one of the
lesser-known forms of Ganesha and is among his 32 forms. This form of Ganapati
is his tantric aspect.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">He is shown with six arms and bears a blue
lily, rice sprig, <i>veena</i>, <i>akshamala</i>, and a pomegranate. His free
hand is around the hip of his consort, sitting on his left thigh.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Ucchishta Ganapati is seated in a sexual
embrace with <i>devi</i>, with his trunk
touching the region below her navel.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Devi holds a lotus in her left hand and her
right hand is placed on Ganesha’s backside.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The couple is seated on a lotus pedestal
with an ornate <i>prabhavali</i> in the
backdrop. The mouse Dinkamurti, steed of Ganesha is seated near the pedestal
gazing upward at his lord.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">This is a very well made bronze idol of
Ucchishta Ganapati, with neat carving and traditional Chola design in bronze.
It is handmade with 1700-year old lost-wax technique called Madhucchishta
