Hand painted Tibetan Buddhist astronomical thangka. Buddhist Astronomical Thangkas are paintings based on Tibetan Buddhist concept of the Universe. The Universe is concieved cyclic or never ending. In the center of the circular painting is the sacred syllable, indicative of Nirvana or the state of Buddha. <br> <br>These are very intricate paintings consisting of concentric circles of sacred Tibetan syllables. All paintings are hand-painted by traditional Tibetan artists.
