He is four-armed, holding <em>shakti</em> (energy) in his right and and <em>vajra</em> (thunderbolt) in his left. His lower right hand is raised in <em>abhaya mudra</em> (granting fearlessness) and a <em>vel</em> (a particular javelin of Kartikeya) rests on his right shoulder. His left hand is in <em>varada</em> (granting boon) pose. <br> <br>The backdrop of the wood carving is filled with raised peacock feathers. This wood carving is hand carved by skilled wood artisans of Tamil Nadu. A beautiful artwork in wood, this can be hung on walls or placed on shelves as a decorative piece.
