Large and intricately carved bronze statue of devi Lakshmi in standing pose. Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and consort of Maha Vishnu, the supreme person. Lakshmi has eight aspects, Dhana Lakshmi being one of them. This fantastic bronze statue is of Dhana Lakshmi €“ one who bestows financial wealth. <br> <br>Lakshmi is closely associated with Padma (lotus), which is a symbol of purity, beauty and detachment. She is supposed to even reside in a lotus flower. In this bronze artwork, Lakshmi is seen standing on a lotus pedestal. The rich jewelry Dhana Lakshmi is bedecked in is depicted with intricate carving in the statue. <br> <br>Goddess Lakshmi is seen four-armed. She holds lotus flowers in her two upper hands and her lower right and left hands are in Abhaya Mudra (assurance or granting fearlessness) and Varada Mudra (boon granting) respectively. She wears a richly carved crown and multiple, intricately carved necklaces highlighting her wealth bestowing aspect. Both her arms are adorned with exquisite armlets. <br> <br>She is seen wearing an ornate belt around her waist and abdomen. A sash runs diagonally around her waist and upper left thigh. She wears a sari that forms graceful folds over her legs and a draping upper cloth that extends on both sides ending in floral folds. This sculpture is truly a masterpiece.
