<p>The traditional Mysore painting of Rama Avatara of Vishnu perfectly represents Ramanaya through complex storytelling and pictography. It is divided into two different color zones vertically. The upper half of the painting is in a bright saffron yellow background that depicts Sri Rama’s pattabhishekam, the lower half is in deep maroon background, depicting the fight between Sri Rama and Ravana.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The central figure is that of Kodanda Rama painted in the traditional green color used in Mysore paintings for Sri Rama or Vishnu. He is decorated with a majestic crown and rich jewelry. He carries the Kodanda bow in his left hand. Bharat, Lakshmana and Shatrughana carrying royal umbrellas, fans and parasols are behind him, symbolizing divine rule. Silk garments and intricate detailing in ornaments reflect the enduring legacy of Mysore art.</p><p><br></p><p>In the lower right, lord Rama is depicted aiming his bow at Ravana, the demon king, with his severed heads scattered below. It marks the destruction of adharma by Vishnu. Ravana is shown in his flying chariot. Hanuman and the vanara warriors are depicted in the bottom left, showcasing their devotion and loyalty.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The painting is made with great attention using natural pigments, gold leafing, and a brush.
